About 3Drakes

With family background of shop keepers, Doug grew up around clothing, customers and business. He studied fashion at college and found his niche in the print market. Eventually setting up his own media business and producing his own local magazine. It was whilst speaking to customers about their marketing needs that the sale of workwear began, and 3Drakes was born.  Initially the items were produced by Marci (Doug’s wife) at Doug’s mums school uniform shop. Soon demand grew for workwear and clubwear.   

3Drakes has produced the clothing for the British Pentathlon and during Lockdown were the merchandise supplier for the Notting Hill Carnival. 

Our daughter, Betsy joined the team as our first apprentice in 2018.  

By 2020 producing the items alongside the busy schoolwear industry was becoming no longer conducive. So 3Drakes evolved again purchasing our own embroidery equipment and Marci became the in-house Production Director. 

On a rural farm in Hertfordshire we grew not just our team, but our machines and customer base. We became the monogrammers for Elizabeth Scarlett often monogramming over 300 items a day. Rapidly, we outgrew our offices on the farm.   

During Easter 2023 we moved to our first warehouse unit.  In May that year, we took delivery of the first complete DTF Magic 60 pro printer, featuring the latest in digital transfer technology the first of its kind in Hertfordshire. The stand-alone 60cm wide film format offers production speeds in a compact footprint. Producing water-based heat seal film transfers this unique system combines the benefits and features of DTG, Print & Cut, Screen Printing and traditional transfer printing into one manageable product.

Leavers hoodie backs fly off in minutes, teddies can have QR Codes to promote business and festival orders can be printed and posted on the same day. 

We pride ourselves on our honest, open approach. We do not have set up fees, because we love what we do! We also don’t have minimum order quantities for items produced in house. 

Now, we are proud to be offering not just clothing and print but also we now are using our expertise in design to produce and source promotional items. Meaning we are a one stop promotional shop.
